VA Beach weekend
I know that I am terrible about posting so I have decided be proactive and take a few minutes to post about this weekend coming up. Here are the highlights.
Friday –
Monica, Robert, the girls and I carpooled to VA Beach. With the exception for a few scary moments compliments of Mr Ernesto the trip went well. It was dreary outside but we had fun inside the van.
We spend the day hanging around the hotel room playing Uno and Yatzee. Since the weather was not so hot we could not spend much time on the beach. I am not sure if we went to the Expo or not. We’ll see, I mean, it is a little hazy.
After dinner, pizza from an excellent local pizza parlor, we picked up Abbey at the airport. Fortunately her trip was uneventful.
There was a little confusion getting all 19 people settled into the rooms but we made it.
Saturday –
Slept in a bit then hit the beach for a quick wake up swim. Got breakfast and went to the Expo if we did not go the day before. Hit the sports bar for lunch and a small college football fix. No good games were on but it definitely helped. Hit the beach and lounged around for the afternoon. We ate a wonderful Italian dinner although it was tough getting eighteen people settled. Got out the running gear and went to bed
Sunday –
Got up and ran 13.1 miles. I missed my personal best by five minutes, oh well. Afterwards we relaxed with a Guinness. Then we hit the beach some more. I had a delicious seafood dinner at this great restaurant. I had a wonderful evening relaxing with Robert and the girls.
Monday –
Got breakfast, hit the beach and headed home.
All in all a great weekend. In some ways I like the VA Beach Half marathon but I have done it three years in a row now. I think that next year I’ll skip it. The best part is that Robert, Jilian and I are now 4/5ths of the way to being Rock Stars. I would like to thank everyone for a great weekend.

I like your back-to-the future approach. I hope it pans out, but it sounds like some events in VA Beach have already been cancelled.
Pretty darn accurate - you see a great future for you as a fortune teller...
