Oh the stupid things we do

Ok, so maybe that should have been, “Oh the stupid things I do.” As you know I am a male and with that particular genetic make up come several psychological attributes. Some of them are good, some are bad and some are stupid. Actually, stupidity is really the root of them all. I digress. One last disclaimer before I get to my story. I want to make it perfectly clear that I do not always do this. This is a once in awhile defect.

This evening I decided to watch a wonderful movie by the name of Guess Who. (A really good movie by the way.) I finish watching it around 8:30pm and decide to take a walk around Foxridge before it gets dark. I strap on my running shoes and head out the door. As I start down the path I am feeling particularly fine this evening so I decide that I am going to run instead of walk. Sometimes when I am in a great mood running my testosterone gets the best of me. During these times I like to show off for the ladies. In this case all that really means is while in sight of a woman I pick up my pace until they are out of sight again. (Cause you know that really turns them on. Yeah right.) Well this strategy, as with most of my plans, has a particular downfall. If you see another woman before the previous woman is out of sight there is no chance to slow back down and you have to speed up faster. So you have to hope for at least a little gap between woman sightings to reset to your base speed. Well apparently tonight was girl's night out on the path. Or maybe my neighbor figured this out and called every woman in Foxridge to hang out on the path when she saw me leave. Either way they were all over the place; it was almost scary. By the time I got back to my house two miles later I think I was sprinting under a three minute mile pace. I think I can honestly say that I have never been more happy to see my house before in my life. Well at least I learned my lesson, next time start out running extremely slowly. :)

Good night.

PS. I made great time.

a) Girls want you to run slower, not faster, so they can check you out.

b) Running away from them? You didn't stop to talk to any of them? Or at least say hi...

c) Now we know how you got so fast playing Ultimate Frisbee. It's all so clear now.

I'm sorry I wasn't out on your path, i could have at least given you a reason to slow down. :)
Glad you made it through.
