Best cookbook ever!!

For Christmas my good friends Annie and Brian sent me the best cookbook ever. It is titled, “Cooking with Beer”. I have no idea where they got it since I could not find it in the web sites of Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books A Million. I was hoping to provide a link to look at it. Oh well. There is a picture below instead.

The best feature is, of course, the obvious that every recipe in the book has beer as an ingredient. And like any good cookbook it covers the range of foods from appetizers to main dishes including soups and sides. Some call for dark beers, others for light beers and some for pretty much anything. A few times it specifically suggests Guinness which is an obvious sign of a superior cookbook. The second best feature is that it is made of a thick cardboard type material. It is like the books you give a really young children where the pages are not paper but a thinker board. So it is sturdy and if I spill something on it I can easily just wipe it off. I showed it to Jeff today. He admired it for some time, started petting it and referring to it as ‘my precious’. I think I may have to keep it locked up or Jeff might slip into my home and ‘borrow’ it. Well at least if it is missing I’ll know where to look.
