Help me or just laugh at my expense, either is fine with me.
I am putting together a personal ad to put in yahoo and match.com. Yeah, I know but hey what can it hurt? One of things I need to do is pick out some pictures to post. I particularly wanted to get the opinion of my female friends to help me pick the best pictures, so I made a web page thinking it would be easier to email the link than send all the pictures. When I finished I figured why not just post to my blog and let you all have a look and chuckle. If you want to help please send feedback or just have a peak and laugh at my expense. :)
And since I have already opened myself up for some good ribbing why not include the text for you to critique as well. So with the pictures is the first draft of what I plan to post. I am sure it will change based on the feedback I receive. Obviously I want to sell myself but I also want to be honest and head off some people who I really won't match.
One other question, do I include a link to this blog? I feel that it is a good representation of me and therefore might be a good way for a potential significant other to get a quick introduction. But I also think you may have to know me some to really get some of the sarcasm. I think it might be better to wait until I know them but figured that I would ask your opinion.
Please be candid, I will not be offended and your suggestions can only help. Feel free to respond here or through email. Ok, let the ribbing begin. :)

Your big sis likes 1,9 & 11 for the shots. I like all that you wrote about yourself too. You are honest and direct about what you want. You are a very caring person and you need to make sure you get that across!

I liked it, but there is something missing from it that I am not really sure I can articulate. I feel like the person reading it is not going to get the feeling that you are one of the most caring and fun people in the world. Maybe for me it was a bit to serious and to the point. I am sure that this statement doesn't really help much. I really liked the pictures that you picked out.

I had my friend read it that doesn't know you and these are her suggestions. First she thinks that the last two sentences of the second paragraph are redundant and probably should be cut out. She also didn't like the sentence that contained the word leeway. It just seemed to harsh to her. She says maybe a sentence about what you do would be nice. She says put in there that your "well endowed". Just joking. She wants to know if you want a long distance thing or one that is closer to you. What movies and music are you into or do you like to go to concerts (A good date idea). She would like to know more about your travel plans. Like how often do you travel, where you go, what you like to do when you travel, where you want to go. These are just a few suggestions and I think that they are much better then what I said. She said that she would email you after reading the message.

you friend has some good points annie, but the puropse of an ad is to get interest...not to feed too much info...open doors to questions
