Basketball – the final blog (for this year anyway)

I am sorry that I have not kept up with this week to week. I thought that I would have more stories. The truth is that there were too many little stories to tell.

Last night the league had their end of season celebration at Cassell coliseum. There was pizza and sodas for food. An ex-LSU football coach was the key note speaker. Plus there were a few games including four Tech football players taking on four little boys in half court basketball. It was good to see the team one last time and say hi to the parents.

Doing this was definitely a great decision. (Jilian and Barry, thank you.) The team ended up with a winning record of 5-3. I enjoyed each of the kids and despite some frustrating times I still think they are wonderful. I believe that I learned far more from them than they did from me. If asked to do it again I think that I would. We’ll see.
