Cremated

With the advent of “legitimate” adult movies, a call for actors went out and John Holmes stepped to the plate with bat in hand. His wispy mustache and bouffant hair, among his other trademarks, are ubiquitous in at least 2,000 raunchy movies wherein he performed with some 14,000 women, leaving not one disappointed, or so the legend goes. Concerned that his most personal extremity might end up pickled as a sideshow attraction, John’s wife personally oversaw his cremation.
