A nice way to spend an afternoon

Today I went to a friend’s house to go for a walk. She is fortunate enough to live next to a large farm that is not being used; so we took her two dogs and went for a stroll in the snow covered landscape. It was a beautiful day with flakes falling lazily around us as we wandered through serene pastures and through a lush grove of pine trees. The dogs were frolicking around us having a wonderful time in this unfamiliar white stuff.

I love the snow. I love that it makes everything clean and white. I love the way it coats the trees, especially the evergreens. I love the way it dampens sound and the world becomes quiet. And I love sharing a walk in the snow.
