Christmas
Christmas went very well. My parents came down to visit and stayed with Lorree and me Saturday to Wednesday. Lorree’s parents joined us for dinner Christmas Eve. On Christmas day we hosted her parents, her aunt, her uncle and their two sons and their girlfriends. That was busy. :)
I got lots of great gifts but one in particular stood out. Lorree and I were up before anyone else, including Ian, which is a rarity. Lorree decides she wants to give me her ‘big’ gift to me before everyone else gets up so she excitedly bounds over to the tree and grabs a package for me. She returns with a huge smile telling me she really hopes I like it and that she is very excited to give it to me. I unwrap a Scrabble 2007 desk calendar. Don’t get me wrong, I like the calendar and appreciate the gift but my first thought is “This is the best gift under the tree?” (Hmmmm….) Lorree looks at it a moment and bursts out laughing. She bounds off to the tree to find another gift explaining that was not the right one. (whew) This time she returns with the correct one and I unwrap a beautiful new iPod. (YEAH!!!) I am happy and grateful. In my stocking if a $15 gift card to iTunes. (YEAH!!!)
So armed with my gift card and the iTunes software I went shopping. My first purchase? O Fortuna from Carmina Burana as performed by The Boston Symphony. :) Other notable purchase, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Beautiful World. Shopping was fun an a little too easy. I’ll have to be careful there. I do have another gift card and will be returning to the store soon.
Life is good, I hope that you enjoyed your Christmas and got everything you ever wanted.

welcome to the iLife
My stepson got the nike chip to attach to the ipod for recording your miles. He loves it. Only cost $30 bucks and you don't have to have nike shoes for it!
