My parents have a wonderful dog named Muriel. She is a lab whippet mix although definitely more whippet than lab. Muriel is friendly, adorable, has a lot of energy and is a chicken.

My parents also have a cat named Bruce. Bruce is a cat, what more do I need to say about him except that while for the most part Muriel leaves Bruce alone he must once in awhile remind Muriel that he does not want to play with her.

My parents bought new padding for Muriel’s bed which she seems to like very much. However so does Bruce. Apparently it is not a rare sight to see Bruce sleeping comfortably on the bed while Muriel sits off to the side staring at Bruce patiently waiting her turn.
