Look mom, I'm on TV

Finally, my mug is shown on national TV. It was probably because of the haircut. If you watched the Miami vs. VT games on ESPN you got to see Sam, Robert and I for about three seconds as they panned over the crowed with roughly 2:16 left in the third quarter. Didn’t tape it? I did. Feel free to come over and I’d be happy to show it to you. :)

Yesterday started off nicely with mimosas, McGriddles and ESPN College Gameday. They where broadcasting from the campus and we figured it would be fun to go. For about ninety minutes we stood out in the sun, cheered and read the plethora of homemade clever signs made by various people. It turned out to be an enjoyable way to spend the morning.

Afterwards we made a trip to the grocery and then back to campus for tailgating over the next six hours. We wandered around visiting various people and enjoying a gorgeous fall day. It was the perfect college football day where the weather is comfortable with a slight chill in the air and all around the countryside is a blanket of leaves sporting their fall colors. Later we made our way over to the stadium for The Walk* and here is where I think I cursed the game. I slapped hands with Marcus Vick as well as other players. As best I can tell that is what caused Tech to lose. So to all you fans out there I sincerely apologize and it will never happen again.

* For those of you who don’t know The Walk is when the team gets off their bus and walks to the locker room as thousands of screaming fans cheer them on.

I blame it on all the HOKIE fans prematurely wearing "Choke" shirts!

I had a feeling I was WAY behind on the drinking when I got there a couple of hours before the game, but I didn't quite realize how far behind - no wonder I wasn't able to catch up.

I'll share the blame with you for the loss as I had never even seen the walk before, let alone slapped hands with the players before a game.

Don't delete our moment of TV fame until you've had a chance to show me.
